At Studio J Architecture, we do our best to provide excellent customer service and manage expectations while guiding our clients through the complicated process of designing and building their dream home. The key to excellent customer service is communication.
To kick off the project we provide our clients with an estimated timeline showing the phases of work and dates when work will be completed. A big part of managing expectations is to establish the timeline at the very start.
At the beginning of each phase Studio J Architecture will provide a more detailed description of what will be accomplished during the specific phase and set our intermediary deadlines. We take the time to provide our clients with these milestones so they understand what we’re doing, how we are working to see the project through and when we plan to have it completed.
"Managing expectations”— The definition of managing an expectation is to seek to prevent disappointment by establishing in advance what can realistically be achieved or delivered by a project, undertaking, or course of action.
Because the process of designing and permitting residential and commercial architecture in San Francisco is so complicated, the path to completion is not necessarily linear.
Therefore it's so important to provide our clients with information so they can make informed decisions, suggest course of actions based off our experience and to set milestones.
To avoid disappointment or confusion, we do our best to stay in close contact with our clients. At the end of each week we send status emails explaining what we are working on, send updated plans and/ or set the next deadline. We are always trying to share where we are in the process, why there are alterations (if any) and when goals will be accomplished.
Our customers have questions—and we provide answers.
When do we order structural drawings? When should builders review and bid out my project? When do I pick kitchen cabinets? Are we within budget? Depending on your budget, timeline and project goals Studio J Architecture will guide you throughout the entire process to insure phases are completed in the correct order to avoid extra costs and or time delays.
